DO YOU KNOW YOUR CUSTOMERS?

It’s always nice to know that you’re providing the best customer service possible. But how can you be sure? One way is to ask your customers directly how they’re enjoying their experience with your company. Another way is to “work the floor” and get a sense for what customers are looking for and how they feel about doing business with you. Even taking lunch with a good customer can give you some great insights! The key is to stay in touch with your clients and customers – after all, they’re the lifeblood of your business.

In fact, knowing your customer is one of the most important questions in the history of marketing and sales right up there with “what do they want?” and when it comes to understanding what a potential or current customer wants – that’s where surveys come into play. Surveys are an opportunity for businesses to ask their customers about everything from product preferences to shopping habits. The best part? You can use surveys for free!

You should always be seeking to know your customers. This not only helps with marketing and product development, but it also shows that you are interested in and invested in your customers’ satisfaction. Owning and operating your own business is not a “backroom” or “hide behind the business plan” business. It is a “front-room” business. Go out and meet the customers – and anyone else who has an interest in your business.
