DON’T SELL BEFORE YOU’RE READY

We’ve heard it all before. Sell now or never. It’s time to let go, no one will buy your business but you. You can always start over in the next company if this one doesn’t work out.  We hear these words every day and they are just not true!

The truth is that there are many reasons why people might want to sell their business, some good and some bad, but the best way to approach a potential sale is with an open mind and heart looking for the right fit- someone who has experience running a similar type of business or would be excited about learning how to do so from scratch. We live in exciting times where change happens quickly. 

Make sure to be emotionally ready for the transition. Selling your business is a big decision – it’s the end of one chapter in your life and the beginning of something new. It can be a difficult process, both emotionally and financially, so it’s important to be prepared for what’s ahead.

Selling before you’re ready may not result in the best outcome for you or your business. Make sure you’re prepared to say goodbye to your business and move on before starting the process of selling.
