Meeting your customers is essential to your success. But what many business owners don’t realize is just how important personal contact with salespeople is to the decision makers. In fact, 83 percent of them want to meet with you in person. So how can you make sure that you’re reaching out to all of your potential customers?

One way is to attend trade shows and other industry events where they’ll be in attendance. And if that’s not possible, then make sure you have a strong online presence, with videos, blog posts and social media content that will help them get to know you better.

Another way is customer contact. It is still the best way to go, whether you’re the owner of a small shop or the CEO of a large company. Meeting with your customers in person is always the smartest way to go, and with today’s technology it’s easier than ever to fax, telephone or email them. 

Meeting or visiting your important customers or clients is a great way to connect with them directly and get to know them better. If you own a retail business, going out and meeting your customers is a must. So get out there and start building those relationships!
